ELMO'S RAP BY JO

Hi, Jo here again with another layout for Molossi!

I am fortunate enough to have many many photographs of my little girl both posing in her various dance costumes and dancing on stage thanks to the skills of a local photographer who is the official photographer at our local dance eisteddfods.

I wanted to keep the background simple and have the photograph stand out but I had no blue papers or card in my stash which matched her outfit. I resorted to using a Prima mask of bricks with a gel medium (something I’ve not played with before). I love the effect of the gel medium – it gave me a subtle texture to my background which allowed the photograph to stand out from the other black but did not overwhelm anything.

Here are some up close shots of the gel medium brick work.

I love the shine it leaves behind. To this I wanted an embellishment which would again blend but add something to the layout - the stunning Molossi Birdcage # 4 which I wet embossed with silver embossing powder, was a perfect solution. I’ve simply tied some organza ribbon around the top of the cage, punched out some branches with a Martha Stewart punch and some scrap green card, added in a few flowers and bling and finally printed off a butterfly from an online kit I purchased somewhere and fussy cut it.

The title are some glittered chipboard lettering from Bella that I’ve had forever and the flowers and bling are again a mixture from my stash from Kaisercraft and Scrap of Difference. I twirled the wire of a couple of the flowers around a pencil to have spiralling off in different directions from the cluster and die cut a couple of branches using a Couture Creations die with a piece of scrap silver cardstock.

Thanks for dropping by – see if a birdcage works as a lovely girly accent for your next page – Molossi has a number of different designs to choose from. J

MORE MANOR HOUSE BEAUTY BY LEANNE

Hi Leanne back again this month with another Molossi and Manor House layout! I used the gorgeous Manor House Believe papers which I used an around the page punch to give a lacy effect. I then layered up my papers added some gesso and a some mixed media inks. I used the Molossi chipboard heart flourish and Manor house flowers Love letters from Paris black, white and some champagne roses from Manor house and the Love title to embellish my page.

Here is a close up of the Molossi Heart flourish which I coloured in black mixed media ink then I used a crackle stamp in gold ink and stamped over the top of the flourish. I also cut the flourish so I had part of it coming out from the top of my photo and the other part at the bottom left of my photo.

Don't forget to check out www.molossi.com.au retail for all you molossi goodies and www.molossiwholesale.com.au for all your wholesale needs.

I also had fun adding flowers, stamping, some ink splats and some gesso and some cool embellishments like the spark plug that says fun!!

Her is my little girl ready to ride! You can see the cog and barbed wire chipboard pieces from Molossi here.  I embossed the cogs with copper embossing powder and simply inked the barbed wire in black.

WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS???

Good Morning.... Rikki here, another Friday rolls by and today I thought I would share with you my creative space.

I am a very lucky girl, I have always had a special space just for me, my last house was a corner in the center of the house which was great because I could see what the little rat bags where up to at any given time.

We then moved and I managed to score what would have been a formal lounge (seriously dont get that room at all), but its a perfect room, only down fall it has to stay somewhat clean because its the first room you see when you enter the house... I know #firstworldproblems...

As you can see its a large room allowing, and the tiles I am beyond grateful for....

So might say that I am a little addicted to washi... that might be true since this photo was taken I have added another 10 rolls to the collection making it a total of 365 rolls. In my defense I am on a washi tape design team and I have completely used 8 rolls of washi it total =  95 meters of washi....

I have completed 38 albums and still have plenty to go.... All my other supplies are hidden in the black boxes saves on the dusting and it keeps the room looking neat.

My latest addition to the room is the picture frames..... I intend to create a whole wall with my layouts, I am one of those people that needs to see some of my work out to keep the mojo flowing. Plus the kids love to see there work out and it makes for some pretty cool art!!!

I love to be organised and these holders for my Tim Holtz inks are perfect, might be in trouble if he brings out more colours though.

My paper storage, custom made by hubby.... I love it thought it is starting to look a little messy of late, my be time for a de - stash? I keep my cardstock in colour order and my pattern papers in Brand order.  I used to keep all my scraps but storing those was becoming impossible so now I don't keep anything small, and bits I wont use or trash goes to my middle child as he loves to scrapbook.

So this is where the magic happens and sometimes doesn't. Stay tuned over the month to see the rest of the Design team rooms.

A MANOR HOUSE LAYOUT BY LEANNE

Hi Leanne here! For this layout, I went with the vintage style mixed media using gesso, chalkboard mists and mixed media inks. I've used glimmer screens and a stencil in the background to give a soft subtle look. I used the black and cream love letters from Paris flowers from Manor House to embellish the page and the Dream title also from Manor House.

LUCKY TO BE YOUR MOM BY CATHI

To make this layout I started off with some gorgeous Fabscraps Timeless papers in green shades.

I added lots of gorgeous Manor House flowers to the layout. Here you can see the beautiful lacy Ballerina flower in cream, as well as a gorgeous Vinette in chestnut. The vibrant pink flower with silver accent is a Razzle flower, while the softer pink flower is called a Minuette. The soft green flowers are from the Mia range.

In the photo above you can see my title, "Lucky to Be Your Mom!". I added a bit of stitching around the photo for a nice detail.  I also added a gorgeous Cobblestone Fence chipboard from Molossi, embossing it with Ranger's Vintage Photo Embossing Powder for a cool rough texture.

I added some lace from my stash and some gorgeous butterflies, some twine and a great Ingvild Bolme signpost which reminds me of some of the old Irish signs you can still see around the countryside! To finish off the layout I added  some misting in Bubblegum Pink Dylusions Spray and a bit of stitching around the edges!!

I had a lot of fun creating this layout and just seemed to keep adding more and more!! This layout is made for the March challenge over at Berry71Bleu, for which Molossi is the main sponsor!  I hope you will join along with us, the challenge will be open till April 1.
