YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE LAYOUT BY CATHI

This week I got my grunge on for Molossi using their gorgeous chipboards...and had a great time doing it!

I also had fun adding flowers, stamping, some ink splats and some gesso and some cool embellishments like the spark plug that says fun!!

Her is my little girl ready to ride! You can see the cog and barbed wire chipboard pieces from Molossi here.  I embossed the cogs with copper embossing powder and simply inked the barbed wire in black.

WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS???

Good Morning.... Rikki here, another Friday rolls by and today I thought I would share with you my creative space.

I am a very lucky girl, I have always had a special space just for me, my last house was a corner in the center of the house which was great because I could see what the little rat bags where up to at any given time.

We then moved and I managed to score what would have been a formal lounge (seriously dont get that room at all), but its a perfect room, only down fall it has to stay somewhat clean because its the first room you see when you enter the house... I know #firstworldproblems...

As you can see its a large room allowing, and the tiles I am beyond grateful for....

So might say that I am a little addicted to washi... that might be true since this photo was taken I have added another 10 rolls to the collection making it a total of 365 rolls. In my defense I am on a washi tape design team and I have completely used 8 rolls of washi it total =  95 meters of washi....

I have completed 38 albums and still have plenty to go.... All my other supplies are hidden in the black boxes saves on the dusting and it keeps the room looking neat.

My latest addition to the room is the picture frames..... I intend to create a whole wall with my layouts, I am one of those people that needs to see some of my work out to keep the mojo flowing. Plus the kids love to see there work out and it makes for some pretty cool art!!!

I love to be organised and these holders for my Tim Holtz inks are perfect, might be in trouble if he brings out more colours though.

My paper storage, custom made by hubby.... I love it thought it is starting to look a little messy of late, my be time for a de - stash? I keep my cardstock in colour order and my pattern papers in Brand order.  I used to keep all my scraps but storing those was becoming impossible so now I don't keep anything small, and bits I wont use or trash goes to my middle child as he loves to scrapbook.

So this is where the magic happens and sometimes doesn't. Stay tuned over the month to see the rest of the Design team rooms.

A MANOR HOUSE LAYOUT BY LEANNE

Hi Leanne here! For this layout, I went with the vintage style mixed media using gesso, chalkboard mists and mixed media inks. I've used glimmer screens and a stencil in the background to give a soft subtle look. I used the black and cream love letters from Paris flowers from Manor House to embellish the page and the Dream title also from Manor House.

A close up of some of the lovely Manor House flowers.

LUCKY TO BE YOUR MOM BY CATHI

To make this layout I started off with some gorgeous Fabscraps Timeless papers in green shades.

I added lots of gorgeous Manor House flowers to the layout. Here you can see the beautiful lacy Ballerina flower in cream, as well as a gorgeous Vinette in chestnut. The vibrant pink flower with silver accent is a Razzle flower, while the softer pink flower is called a Minuette. The soft green flowers are from the Mia range.

In the photo above you can see my title, "Lucky to Be Your Mom!". I added a bit of stitching around the photo for a nice detail.  I also added a gorgeous Cobblestone Fence chipboard from Molossi, embossing it with Ranger's Vintage Photo Embossing Powder for a cool rough texture.

I added some lace from my stash and some gorgeous butterflies, some twine and a great Ingvild Bolme signpost which reminds me of some of the old Irish signs you can still see around the countryside! To finish off the layout I added  some misting in Bubblegum Pink Dylusions Spray and a bit of stitching around the edges!!

I had a lot of fun creating this layout and just seemed to keep adding more and more!! This layout is made for the March challenge over at Berry71Bleu, for which Molossi is the main sponsor!  I hope you will join along with us, the challenge will be open till April 1.

ENDLESS SUMMER BY JO!

Hi Jo here with another layout for Molossi!!  This summer has seen me spend more time on the beautiful Australian beaches than I have since I was a teenager.  It was therefore such a thrill to receive the Endless Summer chipboard title from Molossi in my latest kit.

I decided I wanted two different colours on the title to make the words separate and stand out from each other.  I applied versamagic embossing ink to the word Summer and sprinkled copper embossing powder over it and heated.  I then repeated the process on the word Endless but added a gold embossing powder this time.  I love the end result, even the little bit of gold embossing powder that ended up on the word Summer as to me it looks like sand drifting onto the lettering

The wonderful thing about using embossing powders to colour your chipboard is they are very thorough – there were no inconsistencies in colour, the entire piece was covered and it looks glossy and gorgeous!

If you haven’t tried using embossing powders with your chipboard in the past – give it a go.  If you have a large flat shape you could even consider dry embossing it first – running it through an embossing folder in your machine and then apply the ink /powders.

The remainder of the layout was just playing with elements – a couple of scraps of patterned paper from my paper drawers, a stitched flourish in the bottom left corner using a Midgemoo template and embroidery thread hopefully gives a movement feel like waves, some Green Tara sand coloured mesh, some sea shells and other chipboard beachy shapes I’ve collected over the years and a little bunting banner across the top right corner, along with a small metal corner which again I picked up somewhere many moons ago!

The little sun was a bit of fun – it’s actually an anywhere punch from Martha Stewart – you can use the punch individually as I have done here or create a whole background of them by placing them side by side or on top and underneath each other – I mounted a contrasting piece of paper behind on foam mounting dots so you would not lose the look of it being punched out of the paper but still have some colour come in behind it.

The finishing touch was simply a very fine black marker and a ruler to draw a border around the photo block and to write in the journaling and I was done.

I’m sure it’s one of those layouts I will look back on and remember this summer fondly – thanks Molossi for the inspiration by way of this title block.

SOMETHING OLD IS NEW AGAIN!! UPCYCLING

Hi Marelle back again!

Recently I was cleaning out my scraproom, and came across a small gold frame that was supposed to be used as a cross stitch embroidery hoop.  I took out the cardboard and the plastic "cover" - and painted over the ugly old fashioned gold frame with Derivan Black Paint (as most of you know this is my fave paint) available from Molossi.  I then left that to dry and cut out an oval piece of old book paper from my stash, and covered it with mod podge and allowed that to dry.
I then glued this onto the backing cardboard and glued the Manorhouse "Dream" diecut embellishment available  from Molossi and attached 3 antique looking flower embellishments also from Manorhouse available at Molossi.
I now have an upcycled piece for my sudio - please let me know what you think of it!
