USING YOUR LEFTOVERS

Hi,

It's Honor here, and today I want to show you some ways to use your left overs or scraps of paper, allowing you to get the most use out of your gorgeous papers.

I had a lot of scrap pieces of Kaisercraft's Base Coat range.  I love this range so much, that I couldn't bring myself to throw away any of the scraps !!

I decided to make a few gift tags using the left over pieces, and by adding a few flowers, and some embellishments, I now have gift cards ready for anytime I might need one.

Even after making these gift tags, I had more left over scraps, so I decorated this Kraft gift bag as well.  There's always plenty of things you can do with your scraps - what do you like to do with yours??
All the products I've used can be found in Molossi's online store.

MORE MANOR HOUSE BEAUTY BY LEANNE

Hi Leanne back again this month with another Molossi and Manor House layout! I used the gorgeous Manor House Believe papers which I used an around the page punch to give a lacy effect. I then layered up my papers added some gesso and a some mixed media inks. I used the Molossi chipboard heart flourish and Manor house flowers Love letters from Paris black, white and some champagne roses from Manor house and the Love title to embellish my page.

Here is a close up of the Molossi Heart flourish which I coloured in black mixed media ink then I used a crackle stamp in gold ink and stamped over the top of the flourish. I also cut the flourish so I had part of it coming out from the top of my photo and the other part at the bottom left of my photo.

Don't forget to check out www.molossi.com.au retail for all you molossi goodies and www.molossiwholesale.com.au for all your wholesale needs.
Cheers! Thanks for looking.

A MANOR HOUSE LAYOUT BY LEANNE

Hi Leanne here! For this layout, I went with the vintage style mixed media using gesso, chalkboard mists and mixed media inks. I've used glimmer screens and a stencil in the background to give a soft subtle look. I used the black and cream love letters from Paris flowers from Manor House to embellish the page and the Dream title also from Manor House.

LUCKY TO BE YOUR MOM BY CATHI

To make this layout I started off with some gorgeous Fabscraps Timeless papers in green shades.

I added lots of gorgeous Manor House flowers to the layout. Here you can see the beautiful lacy Ballerina flower in cream, as well as a gorgeous Vinette in chestnut. The vibrant pink flower with silver accent is a Razzle flower, while the softer pink flower is called a Minuette. The soft green flowers are from the Mia range.

In the photo above you can see my title, "Lucky to Be Your Mom!". I added a bit of stitching around the photo for a nice detail.  I also added a gorgeous Cobblestone Fence chipboard from Molossi, embossing it with Ranger's Vintage Photo Embossing Powder for a cool rough texture.

I added some lace from my stash and some gorgeous butterflies, some twine and a great Ingvild Bolme signpost which reminds me of some of the old Irish signs you can still see around the countryside! To finish off the layout I added  some misting in Bubblegum Pink Dylusions Spray and a bit of stitching around the edges!!

I had a lot of fun creating this layout and just seemed to keep adding more and more!! This layout is made for the March challenge over at Berry71Bleu, for which Molossi is the main sponsor!  I hope you will join along with us, the challenge will be open till April 1.

IS IT A HYBRID???

Can you believe it is the end of February already? Rikki here with another Friday layout share, but seriously the end of February!!!
Today I am sharing with you a mixed media layout, more like a  hybrid as it includes loads of layered flowers, fussy cut butterflies and gesso.

So to start just build put your background with some texture paste through a stencil... allow to dry, but if your like me and want to continue working on it this is where your Alsion Ellis Designs Heat gun will come into play.

Once its dry you will need to paint Derivan Paints Gesso all over the texture paste and you will want it quick thick, allow to dry. Also if you want your Molossi Chipboard Butterfly frame, white this would be also a great time to do that.

Then its time to spray your mist for your background colour I have used Ranger Dylusions in several colours.

Once it is all dry its just about the construction, the hardest part of me was cutting the photo so it sat in the frame, I just cut a circle the same size of the frame, onto some tracing paper, then used some washi to attach it on the photo and then cut the photo around the template. Don't forget to attach some X-press It Foam Mount under the photo.

Then its just a matter of clustering all my flowers on, around and under the frame, I also attached some of the fussy cut butterflies around the frame and the flowers.

MORE FROM FEBRUARY GDT ANGELA WESTLAND!

Layout using the rolled edge technique and a pocket in the bottom left hand corner for a journalling memento

Hi Angela here again this month!! This is the second layout I completed for Molossi using their beautiful papers, I have rolled the top left corner which I added a tag inside and made a pocket in the bottom left hand corner for the journalling notes.

I have also used their chipboard Chandelier #1 Medium and painted it black and coated it with 3 coats of the UTEE. I have also made 2 handmade embellishments cutting them out from their papers, the purple roses are cut out using a 1" circle punch and set underneath a 1" glass epoxy dome and set in a brass setting.

Trifold Shutter Card with an adaptation
with matching box for presenting as a gift!

This is my second card I have completed as Guest Designer for Molossi this month - it is a bit different from the normal Trifold Shutter Cards with a much larger space at the end of the card for your personal message or if you prefer a larger embellishment. You could also have your favorite stamp colored on this panel due to the generous size.

I find when making these shutter cards if you use a double sided scrapbook paper with borders on both sides in the design of the paper, it will correspond a lot easier for you when putting your cards together.

Thank you so much Angela for sharing your talents with us this month! We've enjoyed having you!
