A NEW LAYOUT FROM THE TALENTED CATHI!!

Here is what Cathi has to say about how she created this gorgeous detailed layout!

I did this mixed media layout  to celebrate how my daughter has changed and grown since her start with ballet. She adores ballet and is working on progressing in her ballet career with the support of her teacher. I don't mind if she changes her plans tomorrow but while she is passionate we will try to give her every opportunity within our abilities to help her follow her dreams! I used a fussy cut photo of her as young girl in her first year of dance classes and also added a photo taken in her ballet camp this year, my how she has grown!

I used 9th Wave papers, die cuts, and stickers I had from 7 Dots as well. I used some gorgeous Molossi chipboard, cutting a heart in half and using it on both sides of the layout cluster. I colored it with pink chalk ink to tone in with the tag colors and then used a Prima stamp and added some gesso.

I also added some chicken wire chipboard and colored that in with the teal chalk ink...

Thanks Cathi - I adore the Molossi chicken wire chipboard : you can do so much with it : use it as a stencil, colour it with mists, chalk, paint, use raw - another great product from Molossi!

I will be back again soon with more inspiration!

MOLOSSI PRODUCTS ARE SO VERSATILE

I love the way I can utilise my Molossi products in more than one way!  I had finished one project and had the 12x12 outline left, so instead of discarding it I used it as  mask to create a background for a layout.

I will have more to share soon.

FROGS LOVE THEM OR HATE THEM LOL

Gail has created this cute frog layout!
Here is what she has to say about creating it!

So you sent me FROG chipboard......

I hate frogs....... as a child they peered at me and hopped on me whilst I sat on the outdoor toilet.
Belch!
Now I have up to 20 sit on my windowsills at night eating the bugs and I still hate them.

So here is the page

On this page I used the Molossi Frogs which I covered with gesso and used a Kaiserfusion pen to colour them green, then I added the googly eyes.
I also used the Molossi Brick Chipboard. I coloured the mortar with leather glimmer mist and coloured the bricks with creamy brown fluid chalk ink.
The papers are Kaisercraft Basecoat and brick stencil, which I stencilled  a brick pattern on the top of the page. I also used cardboard from a box, ripped and inked with creamy brown fluid chalk ink to create the background.
Love the page....but still hate Green frogs

Thanks
Gail

MORE CHRISTMAS CHEER BY OUR DT

Good morning everyone!
Today I have quite a lot to share from our DT - so sit back and relax with a cup of something  and catch your breath before the silly season begins!
First we have a beautiful Christmas layout from Cathi

Cathi always produces amazingly detailed work, and this one is no exception.

Here is what Cathi used on her project:
For this layout I had fun using some non-Christmas themed chipboard for my Christmas layout!! I used several stamps and this gorgeous photo of my daughters from last year.

I added some gorgeous Prima and BoBunny flowers from my stash and a gorgeous Molossi chipboard chandelier which I embossed in Black and used Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Wax. The chandelier is so intricately cut but it is so strong, I just love the way the gilding wax highlights it!

Thanks for sharing your amazing layout Cathi.

SOME AMAZING WORK FROM OUR DT

Hello - I am back again to showcase some of our amazing DT's inspirational work!

First up we have Jo's layout:
TAEKIDOKAI
By Jo Baker
http://www.josscrapofdifference.blogspot.com.au/

My son has tried many different hobbies and activities this year whilst trying to find something that takes his passion.  The first part of the year we tried a martial art – in his case Taekodokai – we did the trial classes, agreed that this was for him, paid the membership and bought the uniform but by the start of soccer season – Taekodokai didn’t make the cut

However, being a scrapbooking mum and thinking this might be the start of something new and important – I did get the first night in uniform photos.  So I was thrilled when my goodies from Molossi this month included a sheet of Karate characters which allowed me to document this latest hobby.

I have kept the treatment simple – one patterned paper as the background (Bo Bunny) and another cut into a large pennant shape (My Mind’s Eye).  I have added some corrugated cardboard – simply torn from a cardboard box and the top layer ripped off to expose the ridges below and then some white acrylic painted swiped over it.

As well as the Molossi chipboard I have used some Dusty Attic chipboard – also available through Molossi – the frame which I painted white and wrapped some blue and white twine down one side of and the large circle – also painted white are both from Dusty Attic.
To give a little more detail I have added in some stitching along the edges of the pennant piece.  I tied a few small pieces of ribbon and knotted them off on the circle chipboard and printed my journaling onto white paper and then inked the edges before cutting into paragraphs and adhering in the spaces available on my layout.

The Molossi Karate characters I  also swiped with white acrylic paint and didn’t feel the layout needed much more than a title after the addition of these active little characters

The title is a Bella chipboard simply adhered on top of the Dusty Attic chipboard circle .

Next we have some Christmas Cheer from Eve!
